When you talk about Chengdu, a lot of people have heard of it as the home of the lovely pandas. On this 4-day Chengdu city tour, you will immerse yourself in the unique Shu culture, and also take plenty of photos of pandas.
Upon arrival in Chengdu, meet your private tour guide at the arrival hall after claiming your luggage. A short 30-minute ride will get you to the hotel. Have a good rest after checking in.
A full day city tour awaits you. Stroll in Wuhou Temple, which was built in 223 AD and is known as the site to memorize the names of Zhuge Liang, Liubei (general of kingdom Shu) and other ministers. It is surely a great place to bring the book The Romance of Three Kingdomsalive. Take a short ride to Dufu Cottage to learn how great the poet Dufu was in the Tang Dynasty. Have an authentic lunch at a local restaurant later, then take a walk along Kuan Zhai Lanes to try the most authentic and interesting snacks of Sichuan. Before you are too tired, find yourself a good seat in a local Tea House, sip tea, and rest.
After breakfast, head northwest to the outskirts of Chengdu to the Panda Breeding Center in about half an hour. It is an ecological zoo for more than 100 pandas. Pandas usually have breakfast in the morning, and you don’t want to miss how cute they look when they eat. If you are lucky enough, the highlight of your tour might be catching sight of some new born baby pandas in the delivery rooms called the Sun and the Moon. Lunch is served in the city center, then proceed to Jinsha Museum to study more about Shu culture from the valuable relics from the Shang and Zhou Dynasties.
After a lazy morning, pack up everything and meet your guide in the hotel lobby. You will be escorted to the airport safely for your flight to your next destination.
