Eling Park
Eling Park is located in Yuzhong District, Chongqing. It is one of the early private gardens in Chongqing. Its former name is Yiyuan, also known as Liyuan. It was the villa garden of Li Yaoting, the first president of the Chongqing Chamber of Commerce in the late Qing Dynasty and a wealthy businessman. It was initially built during the Xuantong period of the late Qing Dynasty.
The park preserves exquisite and unique architectural landscapes from different historical periods, such as Feige Pavilion, Hutai Terrace, Tongxuan Pavilion, the Bonsai Garden, the Stone Rope Bridge, Kansheng Tower, etc. When strolling around the park, you can not only enjoy the coolness and escape the heat but also clearly feel its profound historical and cultural heritage.

Highlights of Eling Park

At the southern end of Eling Park, there is a polygonal pool. In the center of the pool, there is a rockery. Beside the rockery, there is a flower bed and a stone flower platform with tortoise pattern. All kinds of flowers bloom in different seasons.
Eling Country Villa
Located at the southwestern end of Eling Park, the main scenic spots here include the Eling Contemporary Chinese Culture Academy, as well as pavilions, terraces, buildings and waterside pavilions, etc.
Rope Bridge
Situated in the central part of Eling Park, it is one of the iconic scenic spots in the park. It is an S-shaped stone bridge. The stone guardrails are shaped like two thick and curved ropes, so it is called the Rope Bridge.
Feige Pavilion (Feige)
It is located at the north end of Eling Park and has a construction area of 319 square meters. It is a brick-and-wood structure with green tiles and colorful eaves. The center is a hexagonal pavilion, and the pavilions along the sides are shaped like flying birds, so it is named Feige Pavilion.
Kansheng Building
Kansheng BuildingThe building is about 40 meters high and has 7 floors. It adopts the traditional Chinese tower design. The top observation deck can overlook Chongqing in 360 degrees.
You can overlook the confluence of two rivers (Yangtze River and Jialing River) and the urban areas of Yuzhong, Jiangbei and Nan'an from a distance. The night view is particularly stunning, and it is known as the "city observation deck".
