During the design and renovation process of Eling Second Factory, the design team consistently adhered to a principle - "Do Not Over Design", hoping that "the charm of the old buildings themselves can be demonstrated, and the new buildings can make it even more interesting".

The design team chose to respect and preserve the buildings left over from history in the design. They added some landmark structures and facilities outside the old buildings to jointly create the atmosphere of the cultural and creative park. They introduced functions such as office work, commerce, cultural industries, leisure and sightseeing into the old buildings, and reflected the specific regional historical and cultural characteristics, so as to create an "international borderless creative factory".
