Nanbin Road is in a central position in Chongqing City. It faces the Yangtze River to the north and leans against Nanshan Mountain at its back. From here, you can enjoy the most beautiful night view of Yuzhong District. The time-honored Bayu culture, religious culture, port opening culture, Dayu culture, wharf culture, and anti-Japanese war site culture are scattered along the route like pearls, which has brought Nanbin Road great fame.

The tourist sightseeing area of Nanbin Road is 25 kilometers long in total. It is an urban sightseeing and leisure landscape avenue that integrates flood control and bank protection, urban roads, renovation of old urban areas, as well as catering, entertainment, and leisure activities.

Located on the Yangtze River Art Square of Nanbin Road, by the confluence of the Yangtze River and the Jialing River, it faces the Chaotianmen, a landmark architectural complex in Chongqing, and the Chongqing Grand Theatre across the river. With a total construction area of approximately 22,000 square meters, it is currently the largest contemporary art museum in Chongqing and even in the southwestern region of China. As a private art museum positioned as "contemporary", it showcases the characteristics of contemporary art such as diversity, experimentation, avant-garde and vanguard. The background exhibition walls of each exhibition hall in the museum are mainly white, and together with the decoration in the simple style of contemporary art, they create a pure and romantic artistic atmosphere.

Taking the history of Chongqing's opening as a treaty port as the cultural context, it tells people magnificent historical stories. It includes three major sections: the museum, the park, and the slow enjoyment block.

There are a total of 13 themed exhibition areas in the ocean park, where children can have fun freely. In accordance with the pattern of habitats ranging from freshwater to the deep sea, about 200 kinds of cute and interesting marine creatures have been carefully selected for children, with the number exceeding 4,000.

It has 18 historical and cultural relic buildings, such as the former site of the Chongqing Customs Villa and Building 1 of the former site of the Martial Arts Office of the US Embassy. It integrates the history of the opening of the port and the Anti-Japanese War culture. Moreover, with the passage of time, the local Bayu culture has been added, forming a unique style of the old street.

Madame Tussauds Chongqing

It is the first Madame Tussauds wax museum in the southwestern region of China. The museum displays celebrities from various fields, and visitors can interact closely with their favorite celebrities.

Cultural Activities

In addition to hosting various food festivals and hot pot festivals with Chongqing characteristics, Nanbin Road also holds large-scale activities full of a fashionable cultural atmosphere. For example, the Fireworks Party of the Asia-Pacific Mayors Summit in 2005, the Toulouse Cultural Festival during the China-France Year of Culture, the Sand Sculpture Festival, the Spring Festival Lantern Show in 2007, the 11th Landscape Urban Tourism Festival of Chongqing, the Shancheng Beer Festival, the British Art Festival, and so on.
