The Qiansimen Jialing River Bridge starts from Cangbai Road in Yuzhong District. It "leaps" from the side of Hongyadong and spans the Jialing River. The magnificent and three-dimensional Qiansimen Jialing River Bridge appears to be perfectly integrated with the mountainous city of Chongqing, vividly demonstrating the beauty of Chongqing's "Shanshui City Bridge".
Qiansimen Bridge installs elevators in the main tower, which can follow the arc of the main tower and stop at any position in the tower; at the same time, there are "sightseeing corridors" on both sides of the upper lane of the main bridge for passengers to enjoy the scenery on both sides of the Jialing River.
As of April 3, 2015, the Qiansimen Jialing River Bridge passed the completion acceptance inspection and the bridge also entered the trial lighting stage. The steel truss girder of the bridge body is lit in two parts: the upper chord and the lower chord use bright point light sources. Looking closely, there are lights one by one. Looking from a distance, they are two light belts, highlighting the outline of the bridge. The web members use soft floodlights to set off the orange color of the steel truss girder and form a water droplet shape. Looking from a distance, it is as if a water droplet is suspended on the river surface.
During every Chinese legal holiday, the Qiansimen Jialing River Bridge will be closed to traffic, allowing tourists to walk on the bridge and take photos, and enjoy the night views of Hongyadong and the Liberation Monument. The Qiansimen Bridge is located above the Jialing River waterway and is part of the urban secondary trunk road in the northern part of Chongqing urban area. Due to its special location, tourists can have a wonderful view of Hongyadong and take panoramic photos of it, so the bridge is very popular among tourists.
Whenever the bridge is closed, the Qiansimen Bridge, which is closed to vehicles, becomes a market. The aroma of grilled sausages, skewers and cold noodles wafts through the air, and freshly made lemon tea, freshly cut watermelons, freshly baked cakes, and a variety of handmade accessories are on display. This cross-river bridge has become a huge market where you can enjoy the night view of both sides of the river. Some of these vendors are workers who have just got off work, and some are part-time college students. They sell their own food or handicrafts to experience life and make friends.
