The Yangtze River Cableway is known as "the first aerial corridor over the Yangtze River which stretches thousands of miles". Taking the cableway to cross the two banks of the Yangtze River, one can not only enjoy the excitement brought by the speed but also overlook the magnificent sight of the surging river water from a high place. Especially in the early morning or at dusk, when the sunlight shines on the river surface, the scenery is breathtakingly beautiful.
The cable car over the Yangtze River slowly moves out of the platform and gradually rises into the air, and your field of vision suddenly broadens, with the rolling Yangtze River under your feet and the well-arranged mountain city buildings on both sides. Whether it is the magnificent scenery during the day or the brilliant lights at night, it makes people reluctant to leave.
The Yangtze River cableway at night is even more beautiful. The cableway tower and cable car are decorated with colorful lights, just like a bright "aerial ribbon", complementing the night view of Yuzhong Peninsula and becoming an important part of Chongqing's night view.
Chongqing Jialing River Cableway Museum is located in the elevator waiting area on the second floor of the Yangtze River Cableway North Station. Its exhibition halls include the Cableway Memory Hall and the Temporary Exhibition Hall. The Cableway Memory Hall has a permanent basic display of "Cableway Memory", which mainly displays the history of the Jialing River Cableway and Chongqing's three-dimensional transportation. Among them, the collections such as cableway cars, tickets, archives, and news reports have special historical significance.
Cross-river bridge, Chongqing is the bridge capital of China, with more than 4,500 bridges of various types, and there are more than 20 cross-river bridges in the main urban area alone. When taking the ropeway to fly across the river, you can see the Dongshuimen Bridge in the east (the world's first cable beam anchorage form, the world's first similar bridge span, the world's first tower anchor tonnage, and the world's first cable tonnage), and the Yangtze River Bridge in the west (Chongqing's first highway bridge across the Yangtze River).
