This 3-day adventure in Guizhou takes you from the stunning natural beauty of Xiaqi Kong Scenic Area with its waterfalls and lakes, to the vibrant culture of Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, where you'll experience their traditions, dances, and cuisine. You'll then witness the grandeur of Huangguoshu Waterfall, the largest in Asia, and discover the hidden gems of the Tianshengqiao Scenic Area. It's a journey through breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural experiences.
Depart from Guiyang and drive to Xiaqi Kong Scenic Area (approximately 3.5 hours). Explore the scenic area, which is home to lakes, waterfalls, forests, rivers, and bridges. Visit Wolongtan Pool, Cuigu Waterfall, Water/Stone Forest, 68-Step Waterfall, Laya Waterfall, and Xiaqi Kong Ancient Bridge. Enjoy the natural beauty of the river valley, with its towering mountains, flowing water, and birdsong.
Drive to Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village (approximately 3.5 hours). Take a sightseeing bus into the village. Experience the rich culture of the Miao people. Learn about their food, clothing, customs, festivals, weddings, and art. Stroll along the cobblestone streets and immerse yourself in the leisurely rural life. Savor the local cuisine.
From the viewing platform, the night view of the Thousand Households Miao Village is serene and peaceful.
Continue exploring Qianhu Miao Village. Learn more about the Miao people's history and traditions. Visit the village's drum tower, watch a traditional dance performance, and shop for souvenirs.
Return to Guiyang.
Depart from Guiyang and drive to Anshun (approximately 2.5 hours). Visit Duopo Tang Waterfall, the widest waterfall in the group. While not as grand as the larger waterfalls, it is small and exquisite. It is famous for its appearance in the 1980s TV series "Journey to the West."
In the afternoon, you'll explore Huangguoshu Waterfall, a magnificent cascade spanning 101 meters wide and 77.8 meters high. Unique in the world, it's the only waterfall that can be viewed from six different angles: above, below, front, back, left, and right. The natural "Water Curtain Cave" behind the falls allows you to experience the waterfall from both inside and outside, listening to its thunderous roar, watching its powerful flow, and even feeling its spray.
Drive back to Guiyang.
