3 Days Classical Huangshan Tour

Take a morning flight / train to Huangshan city. On your arrival, your guide will escort you to visit Hongcun Village directly.
Located in the northwest of Huangshan city, Hongcun Village is around 65km away. There are more than 140 well preserved houses of the Ming and Qing Dynasties in this village, which is also known as " the village in paintings". Its beauty is all owed to the water resource which determined the location and layout of the village. The planning and design of the artificial water system inside and outside the village is quite delicate and ingenious and your guide will explain how it works. You will visit South Lake, South Lake Academy, JingDe Hall, Moon Pond, LeXu Hall, ChengZhi Hall and so on.

It is dinner time; we will take you to the Pig's Inn to check-in. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the city and is worth it to stay more nights. The influence of the media has brought many guests, even the French ambassador, the Swiss ambassador, the global President of L’ORÉAL, the French national treasure actress Juliette Binoche and Joe Hisaishi.

At the appointed time you will spend around one hour travelling by car to get to the Yellow Mountains Scenic Area. Get on the shuttle bus at the ticket office and reach the Yungu cable station, from where you will take the cable car up to the middle of the mountain.
Start your visit from the White Goose Peak and the Bright Summit, which is the second highest peak of the Yellow Mountains and the boundary between the front mountain and the back mountain. They are in the north sea scenic area, which is the hinterland of the Yellow Mountains. Have lunch at Bai Yun Hotel.

Head to the west, you will arrive at Qunfeng Peak, where you can look out over many mountains' peak points. Go straight further, and you will see the Flying-over Rock. It is the greatest wonder that a huge stone is standing on the rock platform. Next stop is the Cloud-dispelling Pavilion, which is at the entrance of the Xihai Grand Canyon. The splendid landscape of the Xihai Grand Canyon is definitely the highlight, and no other scenic areas are comparable. If you can, your hike can also cover the 1st ring, 2nd ring, and even the bottom of the canyon. (Note: the Xihai Grand Canyon is closed to public from 1st Dec to 31st Mar for winter maintenance.)
Spend your night on the mountain.

If possible, it is recommended that you get up early at around 04:00 am to see the sunrise when there are conditions of high visibility outdoors.

After breakfast, you will continue to explore the north sea scenic area. First it is the Lion Peak, which is an ideal spot to see the sunrise. You can also see the famous sight of A Monkey Gaping at the Sea on this peak. The Flower Grown out of A Writing Brush Rock is at a lower elevation. There is an ancient pine growing on the peak point, with twists and turns, like flowers in full bloom. The peak in the shape of pen rack appears next to it. Finally you will visit Beginning-to-Believe Peak and Black Tiger Pine before taking the cable car down from the mountain, and then transfer to the shuttle bus back to the ticket office.

After lunch in Tangkou town, you will be driven to a handicraft workshop to experience handmade HuiZhou style incense pendant with Chinese herbs. The incense pendant is one of the traditional Chinese incense forms. With natural herbs as raw materials, you will make an incense pendant by hand. The following process includes mud forming, molding-die and gold drawing. Wearing it often is not only very helpful in terms of sleep and immune system improvement but also a nice ornament. It will be a wonderful souvenir of your Huangshan trip.
