5 Days Yuanyang Terraced Rice Fields Tour
This 5-day tour focuses on Jianshui and Yuanyang of Yunan Province, which is famed for its colorful ethnic minority cultures and splendid landscapes. Yuanyang terraced rice fields and their Hani culture are highlights of the tour. You’ll also spend time at its capital city -Kunming, also known as the 'Spring City' for its year-round pleasant climate.
Highlights of The Tour
#1 Visit the 270 million-year-old Karst topography at Stone Forest, some of the monoliths resemble Easter Island or Stonehenge. 
#2 Visit southern Yunnan's cultural gem -Jianshui, we'll include the visit to the 700+ years old Confucian Temple which is No.2 in size in China, and Zhu Family Garden depicting buildings dating back to the Qing Dynasty. 
#3 View spectacular sunrise and sunset at Yuanyang Terraced Rice Fields that cascade down the slopes of the mountains giving you plenty of photo opportunities. Immerse yourself in the Hani culture and lifestyle here. 
Full Itinerary
Arrive in Kunming, where you will be met, and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free. If time permits, you can explore the Green Lake Park, Jinma Biji Historic site, or Yuantong Temple.
Drive to Jianshui, visit the Stone Forest en route – an array of captivating limestone formations.
Jianshui tour – a historic ancient town, with one of the largest Confucian Temple and the Zhu Family Garden. From there, you will proceed to Yuanyang.
One day Yuanyang Tour: The tour will start with the sunrise view of Duoyishu Rice Terraces, Pugao Laozhai Village, Shengcun Market, Bada Rice Terraces, Qingkou Village, Qingkou Rice Terraces, and ending with a beautiful sunset view of Laohuzui Rice Terraces.
Drive back to Kunming airport or train station for your transportation home. Please note that it will take you 4.5 hrs from Yuanyang back to Kunming. Please book your flight or train that leaves in the afternoon.
