Shanghai Yue Opera House

The Shanghai Yue Opera House is a national-level opera theater renowned both at home and abroad. It started with the Xue Sheng Troupe, Yu Lan Troupe and other Yue Opera troupes during the period of the Republic of China. The theater has made remarkable achievements in inheriting, innovating and developing the art of Yue Opera to meet the cultural life needs of the people. Over the years, it has created, adapted and sorted out nearly 400 traditional plays, historical plays and modern plays, and a large number of outstanding plays have emerged, with representative works such as Butterfly Lovers, The Romance of the Western Chamber, A Dream of Red Mansions and Xianglin's Wife.

Hangzhou Yue Opera House

It was set up in 1985 and is located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. It is one of the main Yue Opera troupes in China and also the most important art performance group in Hangzhou. The theater has a strong artistic force and a rich accumulation of plays. Classics like "The Story of Shen Qing" really left a lasting impression on the crowd.

Wenzhou Yue Opera House

It undertakes the creation and production of Yue Opera plays, creating, adapting, transplanting and restaging new and traditional Yue Opera plays; formulating and implementing talent cultivation plans for the art of Yue Opera and carrying out art training for Yue Opera. It promotes the standardized and normalized construction of professional opera troupes; expands the opera performance market, carries out performances and cultural business activities of Yue Opera plays, conducts foreign cultural exchanges to expand the cultural influence of the hometown of Nanxi in Wenzhou; organizes performance and exhibition activities of Yue Opera, promotes and publicizes the art of opera, creates a good social atmosphere for the inheritance and development of opera and enriches the cultural life of the broad masses of the people.
