The direct high-speed train, which has operated since 23rd September, 2018, connects Guilin and Hong Kong, with only around 3 hours’ ride. It is an economical and convenient way of traveling between these two popular destinations so far. Guilin is famous for its natural Karst landscape and authentic countryside nearby. You will see the essence of Guilin city and travel along the Li River downstream to Yangshuo. The round trip train from Hong Kong is included in this package.
Note:
1. The transfer to Hong Kong West Kowloon Station is not included. Please get to the station at least 1 hour before departure. If you need a transfer service in Hong Kong, please feel free to contact us.
2. This direct high-speed train has suspended service since 30th January, 2020, waiting for further notice of re-operation.

Your tour guide will welcome you at Guilin train station and transfer you to your hotel. You can relax and discover the city on your own. Zhengyang pedestrian street and the Two Rivers and Four Lakes Scenic Area are the great places to go at night time.
The Sun and Moon Pagodas at Night Time
Today’s highlight is taking a cruise ship along the Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo. This has been recorded in the movie "The Painted Veil" and on the 20 Yuan Chinese banknote, and the Li River is well known at home and abroad. You will place yourself in a Chinese painting with the crystal water and limestone hills when cruising on the Li River. Every bend of the river opens up an amazing chapter of a picture book.
Tips: if you think that the 4-hour cruise is a bit of a chore, you can choose to do the bamboo rafting from Yangdi Pier to Xingping, which covers all the highlights of the River. It is a wonderful experience that helps you get closer in touch with the scenery. You can stop anywhere on the River to take photos.
You will disembark at the pier at around 13:00. Walk through West Street where you can find typical Chinese souvenir shops and night bars. Have a cup of cold beer before exploring Yangshuo countryside by bike. You can easily visit a local family and talk to the local residents, understanding their life experience. Drive back to Guilin (1.5 hrs) after that.

After breakfast, you will visit the city’s landmark – Elephant Trunk Hill. The limestone hill looks like a huge elephant with its trunk dipped in the Li River, hence the name. Reed Flute Cave is a typical limestone cave in Guilin. The stalagmites and stalactites have formed in amazing shapes over millions of years, now illuminated in different colors. Finally, you will pay a visit Lujia Village to see the modern village of Guilin.
