Shikumen, Shanghai Folk House
Your guide will wait for you at your hotel lobby at the appointed time. You will learn about Shanghai city by visiting its most popular attractions. Yuyuan Garden is the representative of private-owned classical gardens. Man-made hills, lakes, trees, corridors and houses are well-preserved. The scenery changes at every turn. Yuyuan Market is the best place to buy some souvenirs and practice your bargaining skills. Lots of restaurants are worth a try. Shikumen is a typical Shanghai style dwelling with a distinctive lintel of exquisite carvings of flowers and animals. Enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the city from Oriental Pearl Tower. Travel back to Shanghai's stylish 1930s by strolling along The Bund.

Humble Administrator Garden - Kun opera show
Take a morning speed train to Suzhou after breakfast. Upon arrival at Suzhou train station, your guide will be waiting right outside the exit. Driving about 30 minutes, you will arrive at Tongli Water Town, a small peaceful town sometimes known as “Venice in the East”. A boat ride gives opportunity for a close look at local people’s life style and the old neighborhood. The Humble Administrator Garden, with a history of 500 years, is one of the four largest and best-preserved gardens in China. Pay a visit to No. 1 Silk Factory; you will learn how silk thread is made out of a cocoon and how a silk comforter is made. Chinese dumplings will be served as lunch today.

West Lake
It takes about 1 hour 40 minutes to travel from Suzhou to Hangzhou by speed train. The transfers between your hotels and train stations are arranged by us to make it a worry free trip. Hangzhou, along with Suzhou, enjoys a high reputation for its beauty, with West Lake as its symbol. A bike riding tour around the lake is highly recommended to fully enjoy the charm of the water, causeway and pagodas. Ming and Qing Street is a busy shopping street in architecture style of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Wandering along the street is lots of fun and you could even try some of the local snacks. The Museum of Huqingyu Tang Traditional Chinese Medicines is located right on the street. As part of rich Chinese culture, Chinese medicine is sought-after worldwide. This museum provides a great opportunity for you to learn more about Chinese medicine.
Evening activity: An outdoor live show, Impression West Lake, is highly recommended to make your night more enjoyable.
