Weather on Dragon Boat Festival (Duanwu Jie)
As the traditional Chinese lunar festival (May 5th on the lunar calendar), the Dragon Boat Festival generally falls on one day of early or mid-June in the solar calendar. The weather is mild at that time. In Guilin, it is recommended to wear cotton and linen thin shirts and carry rain gear.
In late June
Wet weather is likely to visit Guilin again after the short sunny days of mid-June. However, the temperature still stands between 25 and 32 °C. Please put on T-shirts and shorts when traveling. Bring rain gear and be prepared with UV protection.
