Guilin Weather in June

When the rainy season ends in May, people will see less rainfall in the June. The average daily temperature surges as the time marches on to summer. In June, tourists will have a small temperature difference between day and night as well as the high average minimum temperature, which is around 25°C. June is the ideal gap for a tour in Guilin between the previous rain season and the subsequent midsummer.

What to wear and bring?

In early June

It frequently rains in early June. But the temperature will pick up and be unaffected by the rain. The highest temperature is between 25 – 30°C (77 – 86°F). Tourists are recommended to put on thin t-shirts and cotton or linen clothes.

In mid-June

In mid-June, the wet weather is replaced by sunny and cloudy days. The temperature can be as high as 35°C. It is recommended to wear short-sleeved light-weight clothing and take sun protection measures.

Weather on Dragon Boat Festival (Duanwu Jie)

As the traditional Chinese lunar festival (May 5th on the lunar calendar), the Dragon Boat Festival generally falls on one day of early or mid-June in the solar calendar. The weather is mild at that time. In Guilin, it is recommended to wear cotton and linen thin shirts and carry rain gear.

In late June

Wet weather is likely to visit Guilin again after the short sunny days of mid-June. However, the temperature still stands between 25 and 32 °C. Please put on T-shirts and shorts when traveling. Bring rain gear and be prepared with UV protection.
